Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 June 2026
These Terms govern the services provided by She Talks Digital Africa ("we," "us," "our") to our clients ("you"). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide social media management, strategy and consulting, content production, live event coverage, campaigns and brand partnerships, paid advertising, and related services as set out in the specific proposal, quote, or agreement we share with you. The exact scope, deliverables, and timelines for your engagement are defined in that document.
2. Quotes and scope
Pricing is provided by individual quote based on your needs. A quote is valid for the period stated on it. Work outside the agreed scope ("out-of-scope work") will be quoted and agreed separately before it begins.
3. Payment
Fees, payment schedule, and method are set out in your quote or invoice. Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit is required before work begins, with the balance due on delivery or per the agreed schedule. Invoices are payable by the due date stated. Late or missed payments may pause work until the account is settled.
4. Deposits
Deposits reserve our time and resources and are non-refundable once work has commenced, except where required by law.
5. Client responsibilities
To deliver well, we rely on you to provide timely access (accounts, assets, brand materials), feedback, and approvals. Delays in providing these may affect timelines, and we are not responsible for missed deadlines caused by such delays.
6. Revisions
The number of revision rounds included is stated in your proposal. Additional revisions beyond that may be billed separately.
7. Content and intellectual property
Unless agreed otherwise, final approved deliverables created for you become yours once payment is complete. We may retain copies and showcase the work in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing unless you ask us in writing not to. Stock assets, fonts, music, or third-party materials remain subject to their own licences. You confirm you have the rights to any materials you provide to us.
8. Third-party platforms and ad spend
We are not responsible for the policies, outages, algorithm changes, or actions of third-party platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn). Where paid advertising is included, our fee is exclusive of the ad budget, which is paid by you and set according to your goals.
9. Results
We bring experience, strategy, and best practices, and we work hard for strong outcomes — but social media results depend on many factors outside our control, so we cannot guarantee specific metrics, reach, sales, or growth figures.
10. Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only to deliver the engagement.
11. Cancellation and termination
Either party may end an ongoing engagement with the notice period stated in your agreement (commonly 30 days). Fees for work completed up to the termination date remain payable, and deposits remain non-refundable as above.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the services is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in effect when you engage us applies to that engagement.

A note on privacy
When you reach out to us, we collect only what's needed to respond and to deliver our services. Our Contact and booking forms may collect your name, email, phone number, and any details you choose to share — we use this only to follow up with you and, where you've agreed, to keep you updated about our work.
We use Calendly to manage discovery call bookings and Google Forms for sign-ups (mentorship, masterclass registrations) — both collect the information you enter directly into them, governed by their own respective privacy policies. We also use Google Analytics on this website to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it; this does not identify you personally.
We don't sell your information, and we only share it with the third-party tools above as needed to provide our services. If you'd like your details removed from any of our systems, contact us at shetalksdigitalafrica@gmail.com and we'll action it promptly.
This is a plain-English starting point, not legal advice. We recommend having a qualified Kenyan advocate review and finalise these Terms before they're relied upon.
